CIMO Scholarship Programmes for Students in Finland
CIMO is an organisation for international mobility and cooperation and mainly focuses on education, working life, culture and young individuals. CIMO offers many scholarship programmes for doctoral studies and research at Finnish Universities.
This fellowship programme is for students pursuing doctorate studies at a Finnish University, and researchers from all over the world. This fellowship is offered in all the fields of study. Visiting doctorate students and researchers are who are carrying out their doctorate studies at a foreign university can be eligible for the fellowship if they provide a motivation letter of the hosting Finnish university department.
The visiting student or researcher should contact a Finnish higher education institution to serve as host university; the appropriate department of this university should then apply to CIMO for the grant on behalf of the student or researcher. The fellowships will consist of a monthly allowance intended to cover the living expenses of the grant holder, whose amount may vary between 900€ and 1200€.
CMIO Application Timeline: Prospective students should submit CMIO Fellowship Applications at least 5 months before the intended scholarship period. The following documents should be provided along with the application:
- A motivation letter from the applicant,
- Complete CV of the scholarship candidate and a short research plan (between 2 and 5 pages).
- Two printed and signed copies of the application form with the required attachments must be sent.
